HP Mini 1000 is slimmer and lighter compared with other HP notebooks. The Mini 1000’s footprint is similar to that of HP 2133 Mini-Note PC. The chasis is however made of plastic. The CPU has been upgraded from the Via C7-M to the Intel Atom. The model features a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 processor, 60GB hard drive and an SSD option of up to 16GB. The chipset is provided by Mobile Intel 945GM Express. The graphic processor is provided by Intel GMA 950 (integrated). The operating system included is Windows XP Home Edition SP2. The width, depth and height dimensions are 6.6×10.3×0.95 inches. It weighs 2.5 to 3.1 pounds.
